About

You may have heard the saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away.  Well, exercise seems to be the trendy new way to keep the doctor away!  And there is plenty of science to back it up.  Academy of Medical Royal Colleges wrote a report where they called to exercise the ‘miracle cure” (Academic Medical Royal Colleges, 2015 & Carrol, 2016).  Reiterating that by increasing physical activity, we can improve our health.  Women over 40 experience hormonal changes, inability to lose weight as fast as they used to, decreased bone density, joint and muscle aches (Interview Viera, 2016).

Statistics show that 60% of women do not take part in the recommended amount physical activity and 25 % of women do not exercise at all (CDC, 1999).

The goal of this website is to provide scientific data to women over 40 to show the importance and benefits of exercising and moving our bodies are to our overall health and well-being.  Scholarly articles and credible periodicals will be used and cited as a source to support posts. to promote the benefits of exercising and motivate followers.

I am hoping that the information provided on this site will help to promote the benefits of exercising and motivate women to get up and move to better health!
